Earn as you Learn

Apprentices on the programme will develop the knowledge to design, install, commission, maintain, handover and undertake fault diagnostics of fire detection systems with the opportunity to specialise in initially detection system with the possible introduction of other specialised security systems.  The apprenticeship will combine workplace learning and practical experience with participants spending 1-2 days a week in college and 3-4 days with their employer. Apprenticeships are a real alternative to university for ambitious people who want to earn while working towards recognised qualifications and a rewarding career.

Security and Alarm Systems- Apprenticeship NI (Level 2) 

Course Outline

South Eastern Regional College (SERC) Level 2 Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge of Electronic Security and Emergency systems to install security systems- you can specialise in anything from intruder alarms to fire detection.

What Do I Need?

  • Interested in a career in the Security industry
  • Aged between 16-24 and also have 3 GCSE’s grades A-C including Maths and English
  • As a sponsoring employer, Atlas can assist you in securing a place (if you do not have an employer you should still apply, as SERC will help you to secure a position)
