Fire Suppression Agents

Agents

Different fires call for different types of fire suppression agents – for example, a server room would suffer extensive damage from water, and therefore requires a clean agent to suppress a fire. At Atlas World we have a whole host of fire suppression agents, with something to suit every application and environment. Atlas World can carefully select the correct Agent specifically suited to your risk, be it a Class F wet chemical for Kitchen applications or the electrically non-conductive, no-residue Clean Agent for your server cabinet. You can find a list of some of our suppression agents below, but please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss your extinguishing medium options.

Dry Powder

Intervening in the combustion process, powder can be used to tackle fires in a number of applications, particularly with combustible materials. At Atlas World we provide powder suppressant systems in various environments, helping to stop fires in a matter of seconds and protecting your valuable assets. Available in ABC, BC or D classifications, Dry Powder is an extremely effective firefighting medium and is utilised in areas where the introduction of water based protection is not ideal. It is electrically non-conductive and therefore can safely protect your electrical hazards along with any Class A or B risks.

Clean Agent

FK-5-1-12 more commonly known as Novec™ 1230 is a fluorinated ketone that is stored as a liquid and discharged as a gas. Our Clean Agent system for compact operating environments operates using either the Novec 1230 or HFC-227ea agents which are environmentally sympathetic leaving no residue. Our range of systems are simple, flexible and compact, and can be easily integrated into many high-risk applications including Control Cabinets, CNC & EDM Machines, Data Cabinets, Generators and Wind Turbines.

Within any compact environment, it is essential to eliminate the risk of fire by protecting high risk areas where a fire could start. When a fire occurs, the pressurised detection tube will burst at the point of highest heat causing a drop in pressure, flooding the entire area with clean agent. The fire is suppressed in under 10 seconds, resulting in minimal damage and downtime.

Wet Chemical

AFFF Foam (aqueous film-forming foam) is designed to seal and quickly suppress spill fires, often involving fuels such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel. For this reason, at Atlas World we supply wet chemical (AFFF) systems to help protect vehicles, warehouses, hangars and any other environments where fuels may be present.
